Role Overview
As a Junior IT Systems Support Engineer, you will provide vital support to the Delta Engineering team in maintaining IT systems at the Melksham site. In this role, you will deliver a range of Windows and infrastructure projects while providing essential application support across the wider Delta Group user community.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver professional 1st and 2nd line technical support, ensuring high-quality customer service and efficient query resolution
• Take full ownership of user issues, performing remote diagnostics and troubleshooting, or escalating to on-site engineers when necessary
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all support requests within the Delta Helpdesk system
• Adhere strictly to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and departmental processes to ensure consistency and security
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Essential
• Minimum 6 months of experience installing, configuring, and supporting Windows 10 and 11
• Proficiency in the Microsoft 365 suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
• Proven organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise high-volume workloads effectively
• Exceptional attention to detail
Desirable
• Experience in Mac administration
• A strong desire to develop technical skills
