Forklift Driver/Warehouse Operative
Role Overview
We are seeking a diligent and skilled Forklift Driving Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the receipting of stock, maintaining accurate stock levels, and ensuring the smooth movement of materials to and from printing and finishing machines in D1, D2, and D3 factory spaces. This role is crucial in maintaining showroom conditions within the warehouse and its yards and ensuring operational efficiency throughout the warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
Receipting Stock: Accurately receive and log incoming stock, ensuring all documentation is precise and up to date.
Stock Control: Maintain correct stock levels, perform regular stock takes, and update inventory records promptly.
Material Handling: Safely and efficiently operate a forklift to move materials between warehouse areas and the D1, D2, and D3 factory spaces.
Machine Servicing: Transport materials to and from printing and finishing machines as required to support production schedules.
Showroom Conditions: Ensure the warehouse and its yards are kept in pristine showroom conditions, adhering to safety and cleanliness standards.
Operational Efficiency: Implement and follow efficient work processes to maximise productivity and minimise waste within warehouse operations.
Driving with full due care and attention at all times.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Valid reach and counterbalance forklift driving licences.
Proven experience in a warehouse environment.
Strong understanding of stock control processes.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills.
Commitment to maintaining a safe and organised workplace.
